Im posting this as a call-out to all users of hostip.info :!: :!: :!: :!:
I want to know, how many wants to add, an ISP lookup function to this greate FREE database.

I dont know how we can do this, but if someone else knows, let me/us know.
im willing to put alot of work into it, if someone will help me.
although im not programming in Perl or C, im still able to understand the programming language. so dont let that hold u back.

There is one way we can do this, buy an already build ISP Database and give it away for free... if we choose to do so... we need to collect money for it. But i really thing, we can do this our selfs...

This is just a call-out.... so i hope someone will reply...

Have fun guy and girls...

If you buy a database about isp and that you plug it on this database,
the admin need to buy a licence for each user that will download the database with these datas.

Same if a customer add the datas from an private database, the admin should remove all data if he don't want to pay something about copyright.

To check if another database is used, it's easy because provider put always false data inside to check that.

Remember : law give more money than customer ...

And if it's GPL licenced, Hostip should add the provider name on each page of its site.
Same with your site when you use hostip database.

And show an concurrent name on his main page, is never good.

Very true, you can offer instructions about how to construct aggregate data about ISP's and such, but we cannot redistribute it on this site - it goes against the original idea of community corrections and community access to that data...
