Hi there,

You've supplied the source for the map applet (zoomed one) and the website, I am wondering if the Geostats Beta source is also available? I am curious to know how it is possible to accurately plot dots on the map to correspond with ip locations!

Thanks for all your work.

Yeah actually the one up right now is a prototype mish-mashed in Perl + PHP. The new one (not visible yet) is a Rails app written in Ruby. So once I finish that (got delayed cauz I'm working on some other stuff right now) I'll put the code up... I'm just too much of a perfectionist to post hacked up code right now ;)

To answer your questions about plotting - since the database has Lat+Lon coords in it, all I'm really doing is performing a few DB joins and retreiving then plotting the coords. They're projected onto the map you then can view and download.
