2 differents api ?

Postby dotnet on Fri Nov 04, 2005 5:15 pm

Hi (Salut),

First : hostip.info rocks !! :o

Well, when I browse the home page (http://www.hostip.info/) my city is mentioned. Not necessary correct but it's mentioned.

But when I use an url like this : http://api.hostip.info/get_html.php?ip=81.249.58.165

Here is the result :
Country: FRANCE (FR)
City: (Unknown city)

Does it means you're using inproved api to display your result on the home page ?

Or maybe it's because you're using a rough-html But I get a 404, each time I used rough_html.

Best,

The home page uses a guess algorithm which you can use too with rough.php

No, but you can get a 'rough' call from get_xml.php ;)

http://api.hostip.info/get_xml.php?rough=true&ip=.....

Just added this so let me know how it works...
