rsync csv

Postby mbucc on Thu May 25, 2006 12:01 pm

Are the CSV files available via rsync up to date?

I synched them today, but grepping for my ip get's no hits.

# cd hostip/csv
# grep 1078051603 *
#

Both the hostip.info and geoip.mine.nu/ge/other_script/index_demo.php return the same result for this IP (64.65.195.19).

Thanks for any pointers.

You won't find your IP that way. You have to search for the /24 block, which in this case, starts with the IP 64.65.195.0 (or 1078051584, expressed as a long). (And no, judging from hip_ip4_city_lat_lng.csv, there's still a problem with the query used to generate this data file.)
